Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the English department, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.

  • Monitor and evaluate the curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of all students.

  • Support and mentor English teachers, providing professional development opportunities.

  • Teach English at GCSE and A-level, ensuring high academic standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.

  • Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS etc).

  • Proven experience teaching GCSE and A-level English.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
