Job Description:

Are you passionate about inspiring students to explore the complexities of human societies, cultures, and histories? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Humanities teacher to join an international, Cambridge curriculum school in vibrant Bogotá, Colombia. As a Humanities Teacher, you will engage students in critical thinking and help them to foster a deeper understanding of the world around them. Applications are welcome from teachers who have worked abroad previously as well as those that are seeking a new adventure overseas. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive Humanities lessons. 
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with the Cambridge standards. 
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the interdisciplinary learning experience.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching degree.
  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects at various educational levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge and IB curriculum is highly desirable.
