About Us:
Cover People UK are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Wigan. This full-time position is available from January 2025 on a long-term basis. The role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive school environment with a strong focus on academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the National Curriculum.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop a love for mathematics and achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the Maths department.
- Participate in school activities, including staff meetings, extracurricular activities, and parent consultations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, with strong subject knowledge.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A passion for mathematics and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
