Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher:

 

Cover People are currently recruiting for a full time SEMH Teacher in a Special Needs School based in Tameside. The role is for an immediate start until the 25th of July.

 

The role:

The school is seeking a passionate and experienced SEMH Teacher with a strong background in special education and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with a range of learning difficulties. The teacher must be confident and able to effectively manage challenging behaviour.

 

The candidate must have:

  • QTS or QTLS, or relevant teaching qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEMH needs

  • Excellent behaviour management skills 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Confidence to adapt to any situation

  • DBS on update register

  • References for last 2 years work history

  • Up to date CV

 

The school:

The school is based in Tameside for pupils between the ages of 7 and 14 years old who have identified social, emotional and/or mental health needs. The school aims to provide Key Stages 2 and 3 students with the necessary support to help them achieve their potential, both with their learning and with their personal and social development. 

 

The staff and the environment at the school combine to provide positive and engaging learning opportunities for all. They promote the core skills of reading, writing, communication, numeracy and personal and social development in order to build a solid foundation of learning upon which they can build a successful future
