Cover People UK is actively recruiting Supply Teachers to provide general cover or teach your specialist subject in a variety of schools across the Manchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced teachers seeking flexible working arrangements while gaining exposure to diverse school environments.
Key Information:
- Location: Manchester and surrounding areas
- Role: Supply Teacher (General Cover or Specialist Subject)
- Start Date: Immediate starts available
- Hours: Flexible – Full-time and part-time positions available
- Contract: Daily, short-term, and long-term assignments, with potential for permanent roles
Role Responsibilities:
- General Cover: Step into different subject areas as needed, ensuring that students remain engaged and productive while their regular teacher is absent.
- Subject Specialism: Teach lessons within your specific subject area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content and meeting the objectives of the curriculum.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment, implement strong behaviour management strategies, and ensure the smooth running of lessons.
- Adaptability: Quickly adjust to different school cultures, teaching methods, and classroom setups, providing a seamless transition for students.
What We’re Looking For:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualifications
- Proven classroom management skills with the ability to create a safe and productive environment for students
- Experience teaching in UK schools is highly desirable, though candidates from other education systems will also be considered
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to different schools, year groups, and classroom settings
